In recent years, developments in Grid Computing and the deployment of
Grid infrastructure have experienced an enormous boost. Altough the
community has been dealing with this concept for about 10 years already,
research is still ongoing.
During Euro-Par 2005 the status of research in this field has been
shown in workshops and sessions.
Euro-Par 2006 furthermore wants to be a platform to practically
demonstrate the application of Grid concepts. A
Grid Village will
provide the technical environment to show the current performance and ease of
use of projects in Grid Computing.
Equipped with dedicated 1 Gbit ethernet connections the village will be located
directly in the conference building in immediate neighborhood to the industrial exhibition.
